Building Resilience from the Ground Up is about strengthening our community so that we can withstand shocks to our way of life in the face of peak oil, climate change and economic instability.
This event will feature filmmaker Deborah Koons Garcia and a special screening of an excerpt from her upcoming multi-film project, Symphony of the Soil; Wendy Johnson, a master gardener at Green Gulch Farms, who will talk about soil resilience; and Raven Gray, President of Transition US and one of the pioneers of the original Transition Movement in the UK, who will share how other communities are making the transition.
The evening will include a facilitated discussion, offering everyone a chance to contribute ideas about how Mill Valley can design resilience into the community’s future.
Hosted by Transition Mill Valley, a community-led initiative.
