Economy Group—Upcoming Events

Sunday, January 23, at 6pm

The next meeting of the Economic sub-group will be a potluck followed by a showing of Marilyn Waring’s movie “Who’s Counting.”  At Barbara’s house, 604 Amaranth Blvd, MV.

Saturday, January 29, at 6pm:

Poetry share at Zhenya’s, 229 Rhonda Way, MV. Potluck.

Friday, February 4, at 6pm

Gift Circle startup in Mill Valley, including potluck. What is
a gift circle and how does it fit into the new local economy? Come and
find out. Please bring any household or other items you’d like to gift
to someone. At Barbara’s house, 604 Amaranth Blvd, MV.

Transition Mill Valley HUB meeting updates

Greetings friends,

We had a great meeting right after the New Year. Thanks to everyone who participated. These meetings will continue bi-monthly. The location of the meeting will shift around, so make sure you RSVP to get directions.

NEW Transition Book Club forming. If you’d like to study the Transition Handbook in a small dedicated group, please sign up (at transitionmv@gmail.com) for this weekly meeting, Wednesday evenings starting in March, hosted by Suzanne Olivier and Barbara Bogard. The Mill Valley Library has a few copies of the book. You can also get a free PDF of the book online, or order your own hard copy: details here.

Transition Economy Group will have its second meeting this Saturday, Jan. 15, at 1pm at Barbara Bogard’s house. Please RSVP to Zhenya at 415 868-5135.

Power of Community film night at the City Council Chambers planned for late-February. Details coming soon.

Mill Valley Community Garden—Jan. 12, 7:30pm. Meeting with Parks and Rec. Commission to discuss the expansion of the Mill Valley Community Garden: City Council Chambers, 26 Corte Madera Ave., Mill Valley.

Friends of Sausalito Community Garden—Jan. 19, 6:30pm. Meeting with Parks and Rec. Commission to discuss the installation of a new Community Garden in Sausalito: City Hall (in the Edgewater room, which is located on the 1st floor), Sausalito.
