2011 HUB ORGANIZING MEETINGS

HUB Meeting: Tuesday, Jan 4, 6:30-8:30 (Location TBA)
Mark your calendars. Starting Jan 4, 2011, Transition Mill Valley will host HUB meetings every two weeks. These meetings will serve as the center of our organizing efforts, including hands-on projects, public events, and resource sharing. In the first two HUB meetings we identified some areas of interest, including reskilling workshops, garden sharing, economics, alternative transportation, and building a Transition Library. If you are interested in leading a project or group, or if you’d like to get involved in one, please join us at one of these meetings. Please RSVP to transitionmv@gmail.com.

Garden Sharing: Julie Hanft from Marin Open Garden Project attended a HUB meeting and laid out some opportunities to get involved in food security that are already in place. Learn more here.

Economics: This group, which will explore an alternative local economy, will hold its first meeting on

Film Screening in Berkeley—Jan.13

Transition Albany is co-sponsoring a special Berkeley screening of “The Economics of Happiness,” a documentary about the worldwide movement for localization, held at David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, at 6:30pm on January 13th.
